Job summary

Seko Dosing in Coimbatore invites a Design Engineer - Mechanical with 4+ years in rotating equipment or pumps. You will design, develop and document pump systems, create 3D models, and support testing and commissioning across oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and water sectors.

You'll collaborate with sales, customers and suppliers, prepare detailed drawings in CAD/Creo/SolidWorks, and ensure conformance with API 674/675 and API 683 standards.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical with 4+ years in rotating equipment or pumps.
• Experience with API 674/675 pumps and API 683 seals.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and drawing preparation.
• Knowledge of SAP BOM and material management.
• Field experience in pumping systems and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of engineered pumps; create detailed drawings and respond to technical enquiries.
• Prepare general arrangement, cross-section drawings, P&ID, data sheets, and API 675/674 compliant documents.
• Submit project drawings and documents to clients; perform design calculations.
• 3D modelling, prototyping and site-scale pump design calculations per HIS/9.8.
• Analyse raw materials using BOM; manage BOM in SAP; support procurement.
• Coordinate and perform pump testing activities: performance, NPSHR, hot water, thermal shock, dry run, cavitation, pressure pulsations.
• Prepare test procedures and pump assembly documentation; compile test and analysis reports.

Position : Design Engineer - Mechanical

Job Location: Coimbatore

Qualification & Experience Required:

B.E/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of experience in Rotating Equipment / Pumps Manufacturing / Service industry preferably in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation and Water

Experience and good understanding of Pump Hydraulic applications.

Good knowledge of the API 674 / API 675 pumps and API 683 Mechanical Seal design standards.

Experienced in technical drawing preparations, AutoCAD / PTC Creo / SolidWorks or similar program.

Technical report writing especially with regards to Pumps Testing.

Knowledge of pump units, valves axial, including field experience, performance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Able to communicate well with the sales staff, customers, and suppliers.

Software Knowledge:

• Autodesk Inventor- AutoCAD solid works and PTC Creo
• SIEMENCE UG NX / Teamcenter

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and Development (R&D engineered pump, Work profile required design of the pumping system, performing design calculations for various pump design parameters and components, preparation of detailed engineering drawings, solid model creation in PTC Creo submitting drawings against project orders and attending technical enquiries.
• Preparation of General arrangement drawings, pump cross sectional drawings, P & ID drawings, Pump data sheet, Painting procedure for Pump sets, Seal System drawings as per API 675/674 Standards.
• Order against document submission to client such as general arrangement drawings, cross sectional drawings, performance curves. installation drawings, reports, design calculations.
• Undertake 3D model making, prototyping and product testing, Pump intake (Sump Model) Prototype design & Site Scale calculation as per HIS/9.8
• Analys raw material by using BOM, BOM processing in SAP.
• Procurement process Creating BOM, Material master, PR release using SAP.
• Co-ordination and execute Special pump testing activities like. Performance test, NPSHR test, hot water testing, thermal shock test, Dry run test, Visual cavitation test, Pressure pulsation tests.
• Knowledge of Pump testing. Tested curves, ISO efficiency curves, Family curves, Preparation of Preparation of various test & pump assembly procedures, Test report, Analysis report.
