Sidvin Energy Engineering in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in rotating equipment to support oil and gas projects.

You will prepare datasheets and specs, review vendor documents, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure accurate design and timely deliveries. Candidates should have 10–12 years in detailed design, API/ASME knowledge, and proficiency in Navisworks and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in engineering or related field.
• 10–12 years of detailed design experience in Oil & Gas for rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of API/ASME codes for pumps, compressors, turbines.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality rotating engineering support through all project stages.
• Rotating equipment type selection and specification.
• Prepare deliverables: datasheets, technical specs, material requisitions.
• Review vendor offers and conduct technical queries and reviews.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on design deliverables.
• Understand pumps, compressors, gas/steam turbines, and fans.
• Assist with weight control reports and equipment layout.
• Support 3D modeling reviews (Navisworks) and offshore studies.

Job description

The Mechanical engineer responsibilities comprise preparation of specification, Technical Datasheets, Requisitions for Quotation, Technical queries, Technical Bid Analysis, Purchase Requisitions, and review of Vendor document/drawings for Rotating Equipment as per project requirements.

Educational and experience requirements:

M.E /B. E (Mechanical) with minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing required quality Rotating engineering support through all stages of the project
2. Rotating Equipment type Selection
3. Preparation of rotating equipment deliverables such as Datasheet, Technical specification and Material requisition, Review of Vendors offer, Technical Query, TBE & Vendor Document Review
4. Review of engineering design deliverables, including rotating equipment selection and specification, design development in coordination with other project disciplines
5. Thorough knowledge in Pumps, Compressors, Gas/Steam Turbines, Fans and Other Rotating Equipment.
6. Participates in the preparation of equipment lists.
7. Participation in Factory Acceptance Test
8. Support for Weight control report to assist equipment layout & structural design.
9. Equipment 3D Modeling assistance, 3D model review (Navis work) and Material handling study for Offshore Project
10. Material Handling study, report and Equipment Selection
11. Multi-disciplinary co-ordination for inter disciplinary checks (IDC) of Rotating equipment deliverables and site interface engineering.
12. Technical co-ordination with Client and Vendor to meet the exact project requirement
13. Identifies needs and holds in the proposal and projects, preparation of risk matrix.

Desired Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

1. Bachelors/ Masters degree in engineering or related technical field.
2. At least 10 - 12 years of experience in Detailed Design in Oil & Gas for rotating Equipment.
3. Should have knowledge of International Codes & standards like API, ASME for pumps, compressors, fan, and steam/Gas turbines.
4. Software knowledge Navisworks, AutoCAD, MS office, PDF, etc.
5. Experience in packages like Gas Turbine Combined Cycle, Compressor packages, Chemical Injection packages, Electro chlorination, etc.
