Job summary

Cyient Limited is seeking a highly experienced engineer to work on rotary equipment and mechanical package projects for oil & gas, petrochemical, and chemical industries. The role involves preparing technical specifications, vendor datasheets, sizing calculations, and managing RFQ processes.

You will evaluate bids, issue POs, review vendor documents, and ensure compliance with international API codes. Knowledge of P&IDs and NDE testing is essential, with experience in sulfuric acid plants being

Qualifications

• Experience in Rotary Equipments such as Pumps, Compressors, Fans, Blowers, Turbines, Agitators for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries.
• Experience in Mechanical Packages including Glycol Dehydration, Chemical Injection, WHRU, Air Dryer, Nitrogen Generation, Water & Effluent Treatment, Boilers.
• Preparation of technical specifications and datasheets for vendors.
• Perform sizing calculations (NPSHa, motor capacity) and provide inputs for vendors.
• Prepare vendor lists and manage RFQ documentation.
• Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (technical + commercial) and issue Purchase Requisitions/POs.
• Review vendor documents and manage post-order documentation (VDR).
• Engage in vendor management and interdisciplinary reviews of datasheets and specs.
• Ensure compliance with international codes/API 610, API 674, API 676, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 673, etc.
• Experience in developing/reviewing P&IDs; knowledge of NDE testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Experience in Rotary Equipment for process industries (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical).
• Handle Mechanical Packages: Glycol Dehydration, Chemical Injection, WHRU, Air Dryer, Nitrogen Generation, Water & Effluent Treatment, Boilers.
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for vendors.
• Carry out sizing calculations (NPSHa, motor capacity) as input for vendors.
• Create and manage Vendor List and RFQ processes.
• Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), covering technical and commercial aspects.
• Process Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
• Review Vendor Documentation (VDR) after order.
• Manage Vendor relationships and performance.
• Oversee adherence to codes such as API 610/674/676/617/618/619/673 and related standards.
• Develop/Review P&IDs; participate in interdisciplinary reviews of documents.
• Knowledge of materials standards, inspection and testing including NDE.
• Familiarity with Sulphuric Acid Plant operations is a plus.
