Job summary

Concretia Infrastructure India is seeking an RMC Plant Manager to oversee production planning, materials control and maintenance at our ready-mix facility in Tamil Nadu. You will translate pour schedules into hourly plans and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper batching per orders and mix designs, managing stock levels, and enforcing safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Convert the confirmed pour schedule into an hourly production and loading plan with Dispatch.
• Ensure batching is done only against a valid order and an approved mix design; monitor output, cycle time and downtime.
• Maintain minimum stock levels of cement, M-sand, aggregates, fly ash, admixture, water and diesel; raise purchase requirements in advance (PMH – Operations approves, Accounts issues PO).
• Verify incoming material quantity and condition through the weighbridge; hold doubtful material for Quality.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance of the batching plant, loader, DG, conveyors and pumps; close breakdowns quickly and log root causes.
• Ensure monthly calibration of scales, water meters and admixture dispensers with stamped test weights, with records.
• Enforce PPE, lockout/tagout and safe entry into mixers, silos and hoppers; control dust, slurry and washout water as per pollution-control consent conditions.
• Direct the Production Contractor on manpower, discipline and housekeeping; certify contractor work and attendance before billing.
• Escalate production stoppages, material shortages, major breakdowns and safety incidents to PMH – Operations immediately.
• Stop production for safety reasons; allocate plant manpower; approve routine maintenance spend within limits. Cannot change mix designs or batching parameters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production

Materials & stores

Maintain minimum stock levels of cement, M-sand, aggregates, fly ash, admixture, water and diesel; raise purchase requirements in advance (PMH – Operations approves, Accounts issues PO).

Verify incoming material quantity and condition through the weighbridge; hold doubtful material for Quality.

Prepare a daily material reconciliation: theoretical vs actual consumption, especially cement.

Equipment & calibration

Plan and execute preventive maintenance of the batching plant, loader, DG, conveyors and pumps; close breakdowns quickly and log root causes.

Ensure monthly calibration of scales, water meters and admixture dispensers with stamped test weights, with records.

Records, safety & environment

Ensure printed batch records are generated and linked to each delivery ticket; maintain production, breakdown and calibration registers.

Enforce PPE, lockout/tagout and safe entry into mixers, silos and hoppers; control dust, slurry and washout water as per pollution-control consent conditions.

Contractor management & escalation

Direct the Production Contractor on manpower, discipline and housekeeping; certify contractor work and attendance before billing.

Escalate production stoppages, material shortages, major breakdowns and safety incidents to PMH – Operations immediately.

AUTHORITY

Stop production for safety reasons; allocate plant manpower; approve routine maintenance spend within limits. Cannot change mix designs or batching parameters.
