Nuvoco Vistas Corporation is seeking a technical role in Nagpur, India, focusing on safety in the quality laboratory and site QC activities, along with robust quality control processes and documentation.

The role includes customer technical service to understand requirements, field visits for issue resolution, daily inventory and raw-material reconciliation, and R&D support for Value Added Products at plant and customer sites.

Responsabilités

• Safety: Ensure safe working practices in the quality laboratory and during site QC activities.
• Quality Control & Assurance: Conduct and monitor testing of incoming raw materials as per ITP; maintain test records and calibration records.
• Customer Technical Service: Understand customer requirements related to concrete grade, quality, workability, delivery and application; visit customer sites to assess needs and address issues.
• Inventory & Raw-Material Management: Monitor daily inventory of cementitious materials; assist month-end stock measurements and reconciliations.
• Product Development / VAP: Coordinate with Area Quality Manager on R&D for Value Added Products; conduct plant trials and customize VAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety

• Ensure safe working practices in the quality laboratory and during site QC activities.
• Ensure safe handling and operation of laboratory equipment.
• Conduct periodic safety refresher training for team members.
• Immediately escalate safety-related concerns or deviations to the appropriate management level.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

• Conduct and monitor testing of incoming raw materials as per the applicable Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
• Validate new recipes created in Labmix by AQM / Super User and ensure correct receipt in BCMIX.
• Maintain raw-material test records, cube-test results and other quality documentation.
• Support plant readiness and compliance requirements for QCI certification.
• Test admixture solid content for each incoming load.
• Ensure samples of Cement, Fly Ash, GGBS, Silica Fume, Alccofine and Admixture are appropriately retained for quality rechecking.
• Ensure admixture stocks are consumed within the defined period.
• Maintain test reports and calibration records.
• Support implementation of triple-blending initiatives.
• Investigate customer quality complaints and facilitate timely FIR closure.

3. Customer Technical Service

• Understand customer requirements related to concrete grade, quality, workability, delivery and application in coordination with the Sales & Marketing teams.
• Visit new and existing customer sites to understand technical and quality requirements.
• Identify technical issues at customer sites and coordinate appropriate resolution.
• Provide technical assistance for customer complaints and concrete-performance issues.
• Support improvement of overall customer satisfaction.

4. Inventory & Raw-Material Management

• Monitor daily inventory of cementitious materials.
• Support Plant Administration during month-end physical stock measurement and raw-material reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Stores and other stakeholders regarding required raw materials.
• Support validation of new sources and materials from a technical-quality perspective.

5. Product Development / VAP

• Coordinate with the Area Quality Manager on R&D activities for Value Added Products (VAP).
• Conduct plant trials for new products and concrete mix designs.
• Customize VAP solutions based on customer and project requirements.
• Support successful implementation of approved products at plant/customer sites.
