Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering.
• Experience in RMC plant operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of batching plant operations and mix designs.
• Experience with transit mixers, raw materials, and maintenance.
• Proficient in MS Excel and daily operational reporting.
• Experience in commercial RMC plants and high-volume dispatch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the RMC plant to ensure timely production and dispatch.
• Plan production according to customer orders and project needs.
• Maintain concrete quality per approved mix designs and specs.
• Coordinate with QA for slump tests, cube testing, and quality checks.
• Monitor raw material stock and procurement to control wastage.
• Manage transit mixers, concrete pumps, and vehicle schedules.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and service records for plant equipment.
• Prepare daily production, dispatch, stock, and operations reports.
• Lead plant operators, drivers, dispatch staff, and maintenance teams.
• Uphold workplace safety and PPE usage per SOPs.
• Coordinate with sales teams and site engineers to ensure smooth operations.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced RMC Plant Head to manage the overall operations of a Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plant. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, concrete quality, raw material management, vehicle dispatch, plant maintenance, cost control, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the RMC plant and ensure timely concrete production and dispatch.
• Plan production according to customer orders and project requirements.
• Ensure concrete quality as per approved mix designs and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team for slump tests, cube testing, and other quality checks.
• Monitor raw material stock, including cement, aggregates, sand, fly ash, GGBS, and admixtures.
• Coordinate with the purchase team for timely procurement and control material wastage.
• Manage transit mixers, concrete pumps, vehicle scheduling, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, turnaround time, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of batching plants, transit mixers, loaders, pumps, and related equipment.
• Handle equipment breakdowns and maintain service and maintenance records.
• Monitor production costs, diesel and electricity consumption, and repair expenses.
• Prepare daily production, dispatch, stock, and operational reports.
• Supervise plant operators, drivers, dispatch personnel, maintenance staff, and other employees.
• Ensure workplace safety, proper use of PPE, and adherence to operational procedures.
• Coordinate with sales teams, customers, and site engineers to ensure smooth operations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related engineering field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in RMC plant operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of batching plant operations, concrete production, and mix designs.
• Experience managing transit mixers, concrete pumps, raw materials, manpower, and plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and daily operational reporting.
• Candidates with experience managing commercial RMC plants and high-volume dispatch operations will be preferred.
