Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) IAE is advancing AI-driven engineering across automotive domains, enabling self-optimising, resilient, and intelligent enterprises at scale. We invite a Rig Engineer to Bengaluru to integrate HIL benches, work with CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, and Vector tools, driving automated validation workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with dSPACE toolchain and Linux-based scripting to optimize test execution and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience with HIL system integration, commissioning and maintenance of automotive test benches.
• Proficient in CAN, CAN-FD, LIN and Automotive Ethernet protocols.
• Proficient with Vector tools and dSPACE HIL toolchain.
• Experience with Linux, Python scripting for test automation.
• Version control with Git/GitHub/GitLab.

Must Have Skills:

• HIL system integration, commissioning, and maintenance of automotive test benches
• Automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet
• Vehicle diagnostics and communication tools: Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, XCP
• dSPACE HIL toolchain: Control Desk, Configuration Desk, Automation Desk, Bus Manager (Rest Bus Simulation)
• Automotive Ethernet technologies : SOME/IP, DoIP, TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, 100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1
• Hardware integration and configuration of dSPACE, Vector, NI hardware, DAQ systems, power supplies, and test equipment
• Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and command-line troubleshooting
• Python scripting for test automation, data analysis, and validation workflow optimization
• Version control using Git/GitLab/GitHub and collaborative development practices
