Role: Product Manager Improved Paddy

We are looking for a strategic and growth-oriented Product Manager – Improved Paddy to drive crop strategy, product portfolio management, commercialization, and market growth for the paddy segment with one of our leading clients in Seed industry for Kolkata location.

Key Responsibilities

• Crop Strategy & Management: Develop crop strategy by identifying geographical opportunities, crop shifts, market trends, policy developments, competition, value-chain players, and emerging needs; build expansion roadmaps and execute crop campaigns.
• Product & Brand Management: Develop product and portfolio strategies, manage product lifecycle, define go-to-market plans, monitor product performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• New Product Introduction: Partner with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Production teams for product development, positioning, launches, promotional campaigns, pack concepts, and test marketing.
• Pricing & Channel Schemes: Develop pricing strategies based on farmer value, competitor pricing, market dynamics, and profitability; support channel incentive and scheme development.
• Market Research & Training: Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and organize crop/product training for Sales teams and field teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong collaboration with internal teams and external value-chain stakeholders to drive product adoption and business growth.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in Seeds / Agri-inputs / Crop Science, preferably with strong exposure to Paddy/Rice.
• Relevant experience in Product Management, Crop Management, Portfolio Management, Product Development, or Agri Marketing.
• Strong understanding of crop markets, farmer needs, competition, pricing, and regional dynamics.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across key agricultural markets.
