Job summary

AMETEK is seeking an RF Design Engineer in India to develop RF hardware for new product generation. You will interface with other engineering groups and contribute across the full RF design lifecycle.

The role requires 1+ years in RF electronics, strong analog/RF circuit skills, and experience with PCB layouts and EMC considerations. Collaboration with mechanical engineers and a transition to production are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in RF or Electrical Engineering with 1+ years' RF electronics experience
• Expert in analog and RF circuit design
• Experience with Microwave Office desired
• Knowledge of frequency dependent properties of magnetic components and power handling
• Experience in PCB layout
• Basic knowledge in EMC RF immunity is an advantage
• Proven experience of complete Hardware Design Process
• Experience designing for good EMC performance
• Working knowledge of design for manufacture and cost optimized products
• Strong documentation skills and English communication

Job description

This RF Design engineer will join the RF Design team and will develop RF hardware for new product generation. With proven experience of complete RF Design Process, this person will interface regularly with other engineering groups.

Location : Ametek India

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Design analog and RF circuits
• Design review based on simulations and practical tests/measurements
• Simulate RF designs with Microwave Office
• Selection and evaluation of components for the new design
• Draw schematics, BOM's, PCB layouts, assembly drawings and test procedures for new designs
• Prototyping of the new design, test, debug and design proving, fault diagnosis
• Participate in Critical Design Review process
• Work closely with mechanical engineers and associate engineers
• Participation in transfer to production

Position Requirements (nice To Have & Must Have)

• Must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in RF or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 1+ years' experience in the RF electronics
• Expert in analog and RF circuit design
• Experience with Microwave Office desired
• Additional knowledge in frequency dependent properties of magnetic components as well as their power handling
• Experience in PCB layout
• Basic knowledge in EMC RF immunity is an advantageProven experience of complete Hardware Design Process
