Job summary

Axiro Semiconductor, based in Bengaluru, seeks an experienced RFIC/MMIC Design Engineer to architect high-performance RF ICs for wireless applications. You will design and test RF amps, switches, attenuators, and gain blocks from concept through product release.

You will work with advanced tools (ADS, Cadence, HFSS) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to push state-of-the-art RF solutions while ensuring quality, reliability, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of industry experience after MSEE or BSEE.
• PhD preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong RF design fundamentals: S-parameters, NF, P1dB, IP3, IMD, stability.
• Fluent in RFIC/MMIC design using ADS and Cadence.
• Hands-on biasing and analog design experience (bandgap, LDO, etc.).
• Experience with 2.5-D EM solvers Momentum/EMX; HFSS is a plus.
• Proficient with RF test equipment and characterization.

Responsibilities

• Push state-of-the-art designs with effective risk mitigation.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced RFIC/MMIC Design Engineer to design and develop high-performance RF integrated circuits for wireless communication applications. The candidate will work on RF amplifiers, switches, attenuators, and other RF circuits from design to testing and product release.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed RFIC and/or MMIC design to develop ultra-low-noise amplifiers, highly linear and efficient RF power amplifiers, attenuators, switches, and variable gain amplifiers
• Push state-of-the-art designs while applying risk mitigation throughout the design phase
• Design and layout RF circuits with high degree of integrity while driving design completion to schedule
• Manage and share detailed technical results and proactively support cross-functional groups involved with the product
• Use high-frequency lab equipment to execute RFIC design validation and characterization while supporting product engineering through the NPI (new product introduction) process

Requirements

• BSEE, MSEE or PhD preferred
• 10-15 years of industry experience after MSEE or BSEE
• Solid understanding of RF circuit design and the performance metrics such as S-parameters, NF, P1dB, IP3, IMD, stability and etc.
• Fluent in RFIC/MMIC design in ADS and/or Cadence environments
• Familiar with the basics of biasing circuits, hands-on experience in analog circuit design (bandgap, LDO, negative voltage generators and etc.) is a plus
• Proficient in using 2.5-D electromagnetic solver (Momentum or EMX), experience in using 3-D electromagnetic solver (HFSS) is a plus
• Strong hands-on experience using RF test equipment and characterizing RF ICs
• Must be able to work both independently and together in a team environment
• Solid organizational skills with attention to details
