Job summary

Axiro Semiconductor, a Bengaluru-based fabless RF/mmWave semiconductor designer, seeks a senior RFIC/MMIC design engineer to develop ultra-low-noise amplifiers, linear RF power amplifiers, and related RF blocks. You will push innovative designs, validate with RF test equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across NPI projects.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years post-MSEE/BSEE experience, deep RF metrics knowledge, and proficiency in ADS/Cadence.

Qualifications

• BSEE, MSEE or PhD preferred
• 10+ years of industry experience after MSEE or BSEE
• Solid understanding of RF circuit design and metrics (S-parameters, NF, P1dB, IP3, IMD, stability)
• Fluent in RFIC/MMIC design in ADS and Cadence environments
• Familiar with biasing circuits; hands-on analog design (bandgap, LDO, negative voltage generators) is a plus
• Proficient in 2.5-D EM solvers (Momentum/EMX); HFSS is a plus
• Strong hands-on experience using RF test equipment and characterizing RF ICs
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Solid organizational skills; good communication and presentation skills
• Curious and driven to overcome design challenges

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed RFIC and/or MMIC design for ultra-low-noise amplifiers, linear PAs, attenuators, switches, and VGAs
• Push state-of-the-art designs while applying risk mitigation during design
• Design and layout RF circuits with high integrity and drive completion to schedule
• Manage and share detailed technical results; support cross-functional groups
• Use high-frequency lab equipment to validate RFIC design and support NPI processes

Job Description

• Perform detailed RFIC and/or MMIC design to develop ultra-low-noise amplifiers, highly linear and efficient RF power amplifiers, attenuators, switches, and variable gain amplifiers
• Push state-of-the-art designs while applying risk mitigation throughout the design phase
• Design and layout RF circuits with high degree of integrity while driving design completion to schedule
• Manage and share detailed technical results and proactively support cross-functional groups involved with the product
• Use high-frequency lab equipment to execute RFIC design validation and characterization while supporting product engineering through the NPI (new product introduction) process

Qualifications

• BSEE, MSEE or PhD preferred
• 10+ years of industry experience after MSEE or BSEE
• Solid understanding of RF circuit design and the performance metrics such as S-parameters, NF, P1dB, IP3, IMD, stability and etc.
• Fluent in RFIC/MMIC design in ADS and/or Cadence environments
• Familiar with the basics of biasing circuits, hands-on experience in analog circuit design (bandgap, LDO, negative voltage generators and etc.) is a plus
• Proficient in using 2.5-D electromagnetic solver (Momentum or EMX), experience in using 3-D electromagnetic solver (HFSS) is a plus
• Strong hands-on experience using RF test equipment and characterizing RF ICs
• Must be able to work both independently and together in a team environment
• Solid organizational skills with attention to details
