Job summary

Elmack Engg Services in Chennai is seeking an RF test & measurement specialist to provide technical support and application-oriented demos of RF/microwave test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.

You will collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions, troubleshoot instrument issues, install and train on-site, and create application notes and training materials.

Qualifications

• Masters in Electronics & Communication or related field; M.E. preferred.
• Bachelors in ECE or EEE acceptable with strong RF experience.
• 1 to 5 years in RF test & measurement roles with VNAs, analyzers, generators.
• Solid understanding of RF fundamentals and modulation techniques (AM, FM, PM, PSK, QAM, FSK).
• Hands-on experience with test instruments: spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and demonstrations of RF/microwave test equipment.
• Work with sales to deliver tailored test solutions (pre- and post-sales).
• Troubleshoot instrument and system issues as a technical consultant to customers.
• Install, commission, train, and maintain systems on-site or at testing facilities.
• Create application notes, white papers, and training materials for stakeholders.
• Provide feedback to R&D/product teams regarding customer requirements and feature improvements.

Role & responsibilities

• Provide technical support and perform application oriented demonstrations of RF/microwave test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Oscilloscopes, etc.
• Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored test solutions (pre- and post-sales).
• Troubleshoot instrument/system issues, acting as a technical consultant to customers.
• Install, commission, train, and maintain systems on-site or at testing facilities.
• Create application notes, white papers, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide feedback to R&D/product teams regarding customer requirements and feature improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:
  • Masters in Electronics & Communication or related field (M.E. Communication).
  • Bachelors ECE & EEE acceptable with strong RF experience.

• Experience:
  • 1 to 5 years in RF test & measurement roles, handling VNAs, analyzers, generators

• Technical Proficiency:
• Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, Analog modulation - AM, FM, PM, Digital Modulation PSK, QAM, FSK (used in LTE, Wi-Fi, etc.), metrics like EVM, ACLR, sparameters, noise figure, intermodulation, harmonics, power measurements, etc.
• Hands on with test instruments spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, signal generators.
