Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Senior Requirements Engineer to analyse market requirements, prepare specifications for GxP platforms, and collaborate with product management and development teams. The role supports regulatory alignment and prioritization, and helps ensure best-in-class applications with high usability.

The candidate will work with global product managers, engineering and agile teams, ensuring traceability, documentation and acceptance criteria are met.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech / M.E / M. Tech
• 8–10 years experience with at least five years of requirements management
• Exposure to laboratory quality management systems is nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and clearly describe product requirements. Translate product requirements into software implementation details (requirements specification documentation)
• Manage requirements for software solutions used by our sales teams to offer recommendations for fit for use for various instruments used for measurements in customer labs
• Ensure requirements are fully documented, traceable and in line with requirements management plan
• Manage both functional and non-functional requirements
• Validate requirements with respect to Stakeholder Requirements
• Review Requirements with team
• Evaluate and ensure that the deliverable meets the acceptance criteria by proper testing techniques
• Provide status reports for requirements captured, validation and verification
• Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval
• Participate as a team member in Agile scrum deliveries. Test the products prior to delivery
• Liaise with business functions to support design development activities
• Support engineering change management process

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

• The Senior Requirements Engineer analyses market requirements of good measuring practices, prepares specification documentation for the specific GxP platform and solutions. They consult these requirements with both: product management and the project development teams. They also analyse these against regulations and competition, as well as support to further prioritization. This contains but is not limited to the responsibility for suitable RSD (Requirements Specification Documentation) and other product specification preparation.
• RE needs to secure his smooth cooperation with all project-related stakeholders, especially Product Manager, Project Manager and Development Team. On the organizational level, cooperation with relevant markets representatives and GxP Champions constitutes additional value and allows for successful RE role. The RE supports that applications are best in class, allow high usability and productivity.
• The Requirements Engineer closely supports the Global Product Manager in defining the future solution’s roadmap. In-depth understanding of the customer workflows, underlying customer pains, regulatory market needs and overall understanding of the pre-sales processes are essential foundations of the role.

What You Need to Succeed

• Has a good understanding of some of the quality standards and guideline such as ISO 9001, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Global Food Safety Initiative accepted standards (BRC, SQF, etc.), and others. especially Good Laboratory Practices, ISO
• Has a good understanding of principles of metrology, measurements and measurement uncertainty.
• Holds strong analytical skills
• Communicate efficiently and clearly with team and customers
• Employ various techniques like VOC, interviews, surveys, observations to collect and validate requirements from customers/internal stakeholders.
• Have a good understanding of non-functional requirements, cybersecurity; work with tech leads and architects.
• Works efficiently in an international environment with a multicultural team
• High degree of proficiency in English language – both written and spoken
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in requirements management tools, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools required. Experience in Polarion is a plus.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and reports, generate simple schedules and analyze large volumes of data
• Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit with ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships
• Familiar with and can use design thinking techniques
• Conversant with agile software development processes / methodologies

Education / experience:

• BE / B.Tech / M.E / M. Tech
• Minimum experience of 8 - 10 years with at least five years of requirements management
• Exposure to laboratory quality management systems is nice to have.

Travels:

• Up to 10% regional and/or international travel for customer visits participation and team meetings.
