Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking an Automation QA Engineer in Coimbatore (Hybrid). You will analyse requirements, design automated test coverage, and maintain scalable automation scripts for UI and API testing.

The role emphasizes contract testing, defect management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate has strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, OO programming, and hands-on API testing, with familiarity in Playwright or Selenium and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices in agile environments.
• Strong test automation background.
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and clean code.
• Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Hands-on API testing experience.
• Proven track record of requirement analysis, test design and defect management.
• Ability to create clean, reusable automation code.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support timely and high-quality software delivery.
• Continuously improve automation practices by adopting standards, best practices, and maintainable design approaches.

What You Need to Succeed

• Knowledge of Laboratory domain / Automated Chemistry systems.
• Knowledge of testing in connected systems.
• Exposure to or experience in contract testing.
• Exposure to or experience in non-functional testing (Compatibility, Performance, Security, Accessibility).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation integration into delivery workflows.
• ISTQB or similar certification.
