Job summary

Mettler Toledo AG seeks a Senior Requirements Engineer to analyse market requirements for good measuring practices and prepare specification documentation for GxP platforms. You will collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to align on regulatory needs and prioritization.

Key focus areas include ensuring documentation, traceability, and acceptance testing, while supporting pre-sales workflows and product roadmapping with deep customer workflow insight.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and clearly describe product requirements.
• Translate product requirements into software implementation details (requirements specification documentation).
• Manage requirements for software solutions used by sales teams to recommend fit for use.
• Ensure requirements are fully documented, traceable and aligned with the requirements management plan.
• Manage both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Validate requirements with respect to Stakeholder Requirements.
• Review Requirements with the team and verify delivery meets acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval.
• Participate as a team member in Agile scrum deliveries.
• Test the products prior to delivery and liaise with business to support design development activities.

Job description

The Senior Requirements Engineer analyses market requirements of good measuring practices, prepares specification documentation for the specific GxP platform and solutions. They consult these requirements with both: product management and the project development teams. They also analyse these against regulations and competition, as well as support to further prioritization. This contains but is not limited to the responsibility for suitable RSD (Requirements Specification Documentation) and other product specification preparation.RE needs to secure his smooth cooperation with all project-related stakeholders, especially Product Manager, Project Manager and Development Team. On the organizational level, cooperation with relevant markets representatives and GxP Champions constitutes additional value and allows for successful RE role. The RE supports that applications are best in class, allow high usability and productivity.The Requirements Engineer closely supports the Global Product Manager in defining the future solution’s roadmap. In-depth understanding of the customer workflows, underlying customer pains, regulatory market needs and overall understanding of the pre-sales processes are essential foundations of the role.

Duties and Main Tasks:

• Analyze and clearly describe product requirements.
• Translate product requirements into software implementation details (requirements specification documentation)Manage requirements for software solutions that are used by our sales teams to offer recommendations for fit for use for various instruments used for various measurements in the customers’ labs.
• Ensure requirements are fully documented, traceable and in line with requirements management plan
• Manage both functional and non-functional requirements
• Validate requirements with respect to Stakeholder Requirements
• Review Requirements with team
• Evaluate and ensure that the deliverable meets the acceptance criteria by proper testing techniques.
• Provide status reports for requirements captured, validation and verification
• Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval
• Participate as a team member in Agile scrum deliveries.
