Responsibilities

• Carry out valuation of gold ornaments pledged in branch per policy.
• Act as joint custodian of vault and safekeep pledged securities.
• Maintain NPAs through diligent follow-ups on interest collections.
• Hire, coach, mentor and train staff with timely performance feedback.
• Grow gold loan business and other third-party products such as NCDs and gold coins.

Job Purpose

This position is open with Bajaj Finance Limited. The Branch manager is a managerial responsibility for providing full leadership and direction to the team of employees in growing business and client base of consumer gold loan. The overall objective of this role is to build customer loyalty and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives and may include the management of activities by external organizations, and the direct management of individuals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall branch operations, performance profitability of the branch.
• Drive/participate in field-marketing activities of various financial products along with the team to improve brand visibility.
• Plan, conduct, monitor the branch field level marketing activities to ensure health pipeline of leads resulting into business growth and branch growth.
• Focus on customer engagement for new customer acquisitions and retainment of old customers.
• Conducting error-free valuation appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight purity assessment as per company policy and audit/compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledged securities as per company policies.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
• Increasing Gold Loan business, plus various other third-party products i.e., NCDs, Gold Coins sale etc.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 4-7 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred.
• Previous experience in gold loan banking, gold loan products, management or client service preferred.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
