Job summary

Varthana is seeking a field-based Sales Manager to drive disbursement targets by sourcing large-ticket loans for schools and education institutions. The role emphasizes relationship building with customers, profitability management, and disciplined collections across assigned locations.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in Retail/SME sales or related financial services, and is comfortable with extensive travel to achieve growth and targets in the education lending space.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Qualification: Graduation from a reputed institution.
• 5-7 years of experience in Retail / SME Sales / Financial Services / Education / MFI / Mortgages / SME loans / Insurance Industry.

Responsibilities

• Visit schools and other education institutions to achieve disbursement targets in numbers, volumes & productivity through sourcing of large ticket loans.
• Build strong relationships with customers with the help of loan products and beyond loans initiatives.
• Maintain & optimize profitability for the branch through managing costs and building a superior quality portfolio.
• Ensure zero delinquencies for the branch by timely and effective collections; regular road travel will be a part of the routine.
