Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, and network expansion across the assigned geography. This role involves managing end-to-end sales operations, dealer & retail network development, team leadership, and customer relationships to achieve both strategic and operational business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute inputs to the National Sales Strategy and lead execution at a regional level
- Develop and implement regional strategies for dealer, retail, and fleet channels
- Drive and execute promotional strategies aligned with business goals
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in alignment with the Sales Head
- Drive sustained regional growth and increase market share
- Organize and structure regional operations for scalability
- Strengthen and expand dealer and retail networks, including Image Shops
- Conduct market mapping and define actionable growth plans
- Identify and onboard potential dealers for future expansion
- Manage receivables, credit limits, and dealer exposure
- Ensure compliance with company policies and CFA norms
- Communicate commercial policies clearly to dealers and channel partners
- Track and share competitive intelligence on pricing, promotions, network, and people
- Support Sales Head with market insights and demand forecasts
- Monitor forecast accuracy and corrective actions
- Support product evaluation and competitor benchmarking
- Ensure all market segments are adequately served through product offerings
- Lead, guide, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve targets
- Ensure efficient team administration and performance management
- Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Credit teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- Ensure timely warranty inspections and resolution of customer complaints
- Drive customer goodwill through digitization and automation initiatives
- Ensure adoption of digital sales and support tools across the region
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Management, or Engineering
- 5–8 years of experience in organizations with large retail networks in India
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience
- Exposure to multiple regions (North, East, West, South) is desirable
- Fluency in English and relevant local language
