Job summary

Star Union Dai ichi Life Insurance (SUD Life) is seeking a Regional Head of Human Resources (RHR) for the South Region. The role requires 5-10+ years of HR experience with a BFSI background and a strong track record in strategy, recruitment, and employee engagement.

You will partner with regional business heads to drive manpower planning, performance management, and people-centric change initiatives across branches.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of HR experience, preferably in Life Insurance/BFSI.
• Senior HR leadership with regional scope preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, audits and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Regional/Zonal Heads on HR strategy and people priorities.
• Drive manpower planning, recruitment and vacancy closure across branches.
• Monitor manning, joining ratios, attrition and retention with corrective actions.
• Support performance management, goal setting and productivity improvement.
• Drive employee engagement, recognition and employee-connect initiatives.
• Conduct regular branch/field visits and skip-level connects.
• Handle employee relations, grievances and critical escalations.
• Coach managers on people management and performance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, processes, audits and statutory requirements.
• Drive onboarding, lifecycle processes, transfers, promotions and exits.
• Identify training needs with business leaders; review HR dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Regional/Zonal Business Heads on HR strategy and people priorities.

• Support performance management, goal setting, PIP/PEP and productivity improvement.
• Drive employee engagement, recognition and employee-connect initiatives.
• Conduct regular branch/field visits and skip-level connects.
• Handle employee relations, grievances and critical escalations.
• Coach managers on people management and performance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, processes, audits and statutory requirements.
• Drive onboarding, employee lifecycle processes, transfers, promotions and exits.
• Identify training and capability-building requirements with business leaders.
• Prepare and review HR dashboards covering HC, hiring, attrition, productivity, performance and engagement.
• Work closely with Corporate HR/COEs for implementation of HR initiatives and change programs.
