Live Connections Placements Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Regional Head – Industrial Relations to lead IR across our manufacturing footprint in Tamil Nadu, including large unionised plants.

The role involves driving long-term settlements, wage negotiations and stakeholder engagement with unions, authorities and tribunals. The ideal candidate has extensive IR leadership experience, a proven track record in settlements, and deep knowledge of labour law, with Tamil and English fluency.

HIRING: REGIONAL HEAD – INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (IR)

Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive / Process Industries

Key Responsibilities

• Lead industrial relations across multi-plant, unionised manufacturing operations with a workforce of 3,000+ employees.
• Drive Long-Term Settlements (LTS), wage negotiations, collective bargaining and union-management relations.
• Manage multiple unions, including those affiliated with central federations and political parties.
• Handle union conflicts, conciliation proceedings, disciplinary matters, labour litigation and industrial disputes.
• Liaise with Labour Authorities, Police, Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunals.
• Ensure statutory compliance and maintain industrial peace across manufacturing facilities.

Candidate Profile

• 20–25 years of overall experience, including at least 15 years in Industrial Relations.
• Proven experience managing large, unionised manufacturing units and multi-plant IR operations.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading 4–5 or more Long-Term Settlements.
• Strong expertise in union negotiations, dispute resolution and labour law.
• Fluent in Tamil and English.
• Postgraduate qualification in HR, PM&IR, Labour Management or MSW.
• A Law degree and exposure to IR operations outside Tamil Nadu will be advantageous.

Preferred Background

Tyre manufacturing, automotive or process industries. Candidates with an MRF background are preferred.

Candidates willing to relocate to Perambalur are welcome. Transport facilities are available, with direct highway connectivity from Trichy.
