Qualifications

• 20–25 years total experience with at least 15+ years in IR.
• Experience in large unionised manufacturing plants.
• Tyre manufacturing or heavy automotive/process industry preferred.
• Postgraduate in HR/PM&IR/Labour Management; LLB a strong plus.
• Fluent in Tamil and English; willing to relocate to Trichy/Perambalur.

About the Client & Role: We are hiring on behalf of a Leading Tyre Manufacturing Industry looking for a strategic and hands-on Regional Head — Industrial Relations to lead the complete IR spectrum, labor management, and union dynamics across multiple large-scale manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee multi-plant IR operations for large-scale manufacturing sites (3,000+ employee workforce).
• Manage complex multi-union environments, including unions affiliated with central federations and political parties.
• Spearhead negotiations and successfully execute Long-Term Settlements (LTS) (proven experience leading 4–5+ LTS required).
• Manage conciliation, litigation, disciplinary proceedings, and handle conflict resolution during union unrest.
• Maintain strong relationships and direct liaison with Labour Courts, Industrial Tribunals, Labour Authorities, and local Police.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: 20 to 25 years total experience with at least 15+ years dedicated strictly to IR in large unionised manufacturing plants.
• Industry Experience: Background in Tyre manufacturing preferred (or Heavy Automotive / Process Manufacturing).
• Education: PG in HR / PM&IR / Labour Management / MSW. A Law Degree (LLB) is a strong plus.
• Language & Location: Must be fluent in Tamil and English. Open to candidates based in or willing to relocate to Trichy / Perambalur (Direct highway connectivity and company transport available from Trichy).
• Multi-Geography: Exposure to handling IR outside Tamil Nadu is an added advantage.
