Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Head - Plant HR to oversee the HR function for our SSP manufacturing operations across 9 plants in India. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in handling multiple manufacturing units, strong Industrial Relations (IR) expertise, and corporate HR exposure. The role requires strategic HR leadership, workforce management, and labour relations oversight at a national scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Plant HR Leadership & Strategy:- Drive HR strategies across all 9 manufacturing units ensuring consistency and alignment with business objectives.- Lead workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning across multiple locations.- Implement standardized HR policies across plants while addressing region-specific labor challenges.
- Industrial Relations & Compliance:- Manage unionized and non-unionized workforce relations across multiple states.- Lead collective bargaining agreements, wage negotiations, and dispute resolution at a corporate level.- Ensure statutory compliance across plants, liaising with local labour authorities and government agencies.- Drive risk mitigation strategies for labour unrest and ensure smooth plant operations.
- Corporate HR & Policy Implementation:- Act as a bridge between corporate HR and plant HR teams, ensuring seamless execution of HR policies.- Collaborate with leadership to drive performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement programs.- Implement HR digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing locations.
- Employee Relations & Engagement:- Establish uniform employee engagement programs across plants to foster a positive work culture.- Oversee grievance handling mechanisms and ensure effective resolution of employee concerns.- Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives across all units.
- HR Operations & Administration:- Oversee end-to-end HR operations for multi-site manufacturing, including payroll, labour contracts, and workforce optimization.- Drive automation and HR technology adoption for process efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Key Requirements:- Experience: 18-20 years in large-scale manufacturing industries, with expertise in managing multiple manufacturing units simultaneously.- Educational Qualification: MBA/MSW in HR or equivalent from a reputed institution.- IR Expertise: Proven experience in handling multi-location labour unions, wage negotiations, and compliance at a national level.- Corporate HR Exposure: Strong understanding of corporate HR functions and ability to align plant HR with business goals.- Leadership Skills: Ability to drive HR strategy across multiple locations and influence key stakeholders.- Stakeholder Management: Experience in engaging with senior leadership, government bodies, and plant leadership teams.- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi is essential; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
