Job summary

More Retail in Kolkata seeks a seasoned Loss Prevention and Inventory Auditor to analyze store accounting, inventory, and transaction data, and implement loss-reducing programs.

You will set audit rules, monitor security systems, and conduct quarterly audits; train staff and 3P auditors; liaise with police when required; and drive discipline to reduce variance and shrink.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 5+ years of experience in loss prevention & inventory.
• Experience in the food retail industry is a must.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

The custodian of this role will be responsible for analyzing and reviewing store accounting, inventory, and transaction data to detect issues and ensure that policies and programs to reduce loss are implemented.

Principal Responsibilities

• Set rule book for end-to-end audit processes including inventory control and loss prevention.
• Monitoring public areas and security systems, such as alarms and closed-circuit cameras, for potential threats and unusual activity
• Performing routine inventory audits and investigating sources of known losses.
• Pre-schedule audits every quarter and ensures 100% adherence
• Prepare and standardize pre-audit checklist for both store & 3P Auditors
• Training to both stores & 3P Audit team members on process & execution.
• Ensure require infra to be in place for accurate audits
• Set selection criteria for 3PL agencies
• Completing shift reports and documenting any incidents
• Overseeing the entire audit process and ensuring all audit procedures are followed.
• Reduce re-audits and resolve conflicts.
• Ultimately control variance / shrink.
• Maintain high standards of discipline in all the activities.
• Liaisoning with local police and external agencies to take legal actions as & when required.
• Capable enough to run the day & night internal audit apart from managing 3P audits.
• Cash audits as well as Happay Portal expenses management (identifying fake claims).

Education and Experience

• A bachelors degree
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in loss prevention & Inventory.
• Must be from the Food Retail Industry.
