Job summary

KEC International in East India seeks an experienced Finishing Engineer with 6–12 years of site experience to plan, coordinate and supervise finishing works across plastering, painting, flooring, tiling and related activities.

You will ensure adherence to drawings, specifications and quality standards, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, monitor progress, prepare reports and assist in handover procedures.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5-12 years of relevant experience in finishing works.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute finishing works such as plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, waterproofing, false ceiling, joinery, and faade works.
• Ensure all finishing activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and MEP teams for smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of finishing activities.
• Conduct quality inspections and rectify defects/non-conformities.
• Verify measurements, prepare progress reports, and certify contractor bills.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure closure before project handover.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of materials.
