Job summary

Chaayos in Delhi is seeking a Finance Operations professional to manage end-to-end e-commerce reconciliation across platforms, including marketplaces and payment gateways. You will analyze settlement reports, identify discrepancies, and drive improvements in reconciliation processes.

The role requires 4+ years in finance operations or e-commerce reconciliation, a strong grasp of the transaction lifecycle, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Finance Operations / E-commerce Reconciliation / Revenue Reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce transaction lifecycle including order processing, payments, settlements, refunds, cancellations, and commissions.
• Hands‑on experience working with marketplace settlement reports and payment gateway reconciliations.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis).
• Experience working with ERP/accounting tools and reconciliation platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end e-commerce reconciliation across platforms (marketplaces, aggregators, payment gateways, online sales channels).
• Reconcile orders, sales, collections, refunds, cancellations, commissions, discounts, promotions, and settlements.
• Analyze settlement reports and identify discrepancies between sales, payments, and accounting records.
• Track and resolve short payments, payment failures, deductions, commissions, and settlement mismatches.
• Perform reconciliation between OMS, POS, payment gateways, marketplace reports, and ERP/accounting systems.
• Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection and closure of transactions.
• Prepare reconciliation MIS, ageing reports, variance analysis, and dashboards for management review.
• Coordinate with business, operations, customer support, and technology teams to resolve transaction-level issues.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries for sales, refunds, commissions, and marketplace adjustments.
• Support month-end closing activities related to e-commerce revenue and collections.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance reconciliation accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain proper documentation and support internal/statutory audits related to e-commerce transactions.
