About the Role:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented FinOps Reconciliation Specialist to join our team, focusing on the reconciliation of acquiring collections and merchant payouts. In this role, you will manage the reconciliation of payment transactions between payment processors, acquiring banks, merchants, and our internal systems. You will ensure that all merchant payouts and collections are accurate, track discrepancies, and maintain smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquiring Collections: Reconcile daily collections from payment gateways, banks, and processors, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with teams for resolution.
- Merchant Payouts: Oversee timely merchant payouts, reconcile payout reports, and handle merchant inquiries regarding discrepancies.
- Reporting & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate financial records, generate reports, and monitor reconciliation trends.
- Collaboration: Work with finance, operations, and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all processes comply with regulations and internal policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in reconciliation workflows.
- Audits: Arrange necessary data for auditors.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tech, or related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years in financial operations or reconciliation, ideally in payments or e-commerce.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in financial systems such as ERP/SAP, SQL, Python, and MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payment gateways or FinTech (e.g., Pinelabs, PayU, Razorpay).
- Strong understanding of financial reconciliation processes and payment systems.
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Experience with automation tools and reconciliation software.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
