The Receptionist is responsible for managing the hospital front desk, welcoming patients and visitors, handling inquiries, supporting registration and appointment processes, and ensuring a professional and positive patient experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients, visitors, and attendants in a courteous and professional manner.
• Manage front-desk operations and provide information about hospital services.
• Register new and returning patients accurately.
• Schedule and coordinate doctor appointments.
• Handle telephone calls, messages, and general inquiries.
• Guide patients to OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy, billing, and other departments.
• Assist with patient registration and appointment documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical departments regarding schedules.
• Maintain accurate reception registers and administrative records.
• Support billing and payment-related coordination when required.
• Assist patients with basic hospital procedures and service information.
• Handle patient feedback and elevate complaints appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Ensure reception and waiting areas remain organized and welcoming.
• Coordinate with security and housekeeping teams when necessary.
• Support emergency and priority patient coordination.
• Assist with insurance/TPA desk coordination when required.
• Follow hospital customer-service, safety, and infection-control protocols.
• Participate in quality-improvement and NABH-related activities.
