Job summary

HDFC Bank Limited is seeking a Personal Banker in our Retail Branch to grow the Classic portfolio by acquiring new customers and deepening relationships through cross-selling of banking products.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional service, timely account openings, and accurate CRM records, while promoting direct banking channels and maintaining KYC compliance. You will work with Branch Banking Team and partner with Ops and MF/Insurance functions to maximize wallet share.

Qualifications

• Graduation is required; Post-graduation preferred.
• NISM V-A Certification, IRDA Certification, GI Certification.
• Sales and influencing skills, banking product knowledge, planning and organizing, communication, knowledge of competition.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Sales responsibilities are completed.
• Manage benchmark customer numbers in the portfolio.
• Group customers with family members for enhanced relationships.
• Achieve income-generating product benchmarks.
• Enhance customer group profitability and wallet size.
• Update CRM with detailed customer interactions.
• Deliver quality customer service and resolve complaints within TAT.
• Promote direct banking channels and assist customers.
• Ensure timely account opening and customer communication.
• Maintain daily sales reports.
• Ensure quality acquisition of savings and current accounts.
• Cross-sell products like Demat, Bill Pay, and Advisory.
• Monitor large account movements and prevent attrition.
• Promote third-party products like MF, Insurance, and Bonds.
• Ensure error-free documentation for account opening and instructions.
• Adhere to KYC norms and maintain 5-S standards.
• Manage locker operations and standing instructions.
• Update CRM for asset leads and weed-out database.
