The Psychometrician work on the scientific design and validation of an in-house assessment ecosystem, combining deep psychometric expertise with assessment design capability, applied research, AI-enabled assessment innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. This strategic role involves building psychometrically sound assessments from scratch, designing competency measurement frameworks, creating assessment blueprints and validation plans, partnering with Product, Engineering, HR, and Leadership teams, leveraging AI technologies responsibly, and establishing long-term governance standards for assessment quality and fairness. The successful candidate will help establish Granules' internal assessment science capability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assessment Design

• Design and develop occupational personality assessments.
• Develop Situational Judgment Tests (SJTs) across organisational levels.
• Build competency-based behavioural assessments.
• Design leadership and management assessments.
• Build role-specific technical and functional assessment frameworks.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to define measurable competencies.
• Support the creation of assessment analytics and monitoring dashboards.

2. Assessment Development Lifecycle

• Lead item writing initiatives.
• Design scoring frameworks and interpretation models.
• Continuously review and improve assessment quality.
• Lead assessment validation efforts, including content validation, construct validation, criterion-based validation, predictive validity studies, and convergent and discriminant validity analysis.
• Conduct and oversee reliability analysis, internal consistency studies, item analysis, factor analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and measurement invariance testing.
• Perform fairness and adverse impact studies.
• Design pilot studies and develop benchmarking methodologies.
• Build role-based norm groups and establish revalidation and monitoring processes.
• Conduct ongoing talent assessment research and benchmark against leading assessment providers such as SHL.
• Recommend evidence-based enhancements.

Candidate Profile

Experience

• MSc in Psychometrics, Industrial Psychology (I/O) or Organisational Psychology, or related field OR PhD in Organizational Psychology.
• 3+ years of experience in assessment development and psychometrics.
• Certification from Indian Institute of Business Psychology (IIBP) or IIBP‑aligned courses (Preferred).
• Demonstrated experience building assessments from scratch.
• Experience conducting validation and reliability studies.
• Experience working with talent assessment or leadership assessment products.
