Job summary

Ss Ventures in Delhi is seeking an R&D/NPD Engineer – Power Electronics to lead the design, development, testing and validation of UPS, inverter, and lithium battery based systems. You will contribute across concept, prototype and final product stages.

The role requires hands-on experience in power electronics R&D, circuit design, testing, troubleshooting and product validation, with preference for those familiar with lithium battery systems and BMS integration.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of relevant experience in power electronics R&D/NPD.
• Experience with UPS, inverters, battery systems and related power electronics.
• Knowledge of circuit design, testing, debugging and validation.
• Exposure to Lithium Battery / BMS / ESS / BESS preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and innovative R&D / NPD Engineer – Power Electronics to join our team in Delhi. The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, validation, and improvement of power electronics products, with a focus on UPS, Inverters, and Lithium Battery-based systems.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in power electronics R&D, product development, circuit design, testing, troubleshooting, and product validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate power electronics products for UPS, inverter, and lithium battery applications.
• Work on new product development (NPD) from concept to prototype and final product.
• Perform circuit design, analysis, simulation, testing, and troubleshooting of power electronics systems.
• Develop and improve UPS, inverter, charger, converter, and related power electronics circuits.
• Work on DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters, SMPS, charging systems, and power stages.
• Support integration of Lithium Battery and BMS systems with inverter/UPS platforms.
• Conduct functional, performance, reliability, and validation testing of developed products.
• Identify technical issues and implement suitable corrective actions and design improvements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, circuit diagrams, BOMs, and development reports.
• Coordinate with PCB Design, Firmware, Mechanical, Testing, Production, and Quality teams during product development.
• Support prototype development, testing, debugging, and transfer of products from R&D to production.
• Analyze field/customer feedback and implement product improvements.
• Ensure products meet required performance, safety, reliability, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–6 years of relevant experience in Power Electronics R&D / NPD.
• Strong practical knowledge of UPS, Inverters, Power Electronics, and related systems.
• Experience in product design, development, testing, debugging, and validation.
• Exposure to Lithium Battery / BMS / ESS / BESS will be preferred.
• Good understanding of power semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, and power switching circuits.
• Knowledge of DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC conversion technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with laboratory testing equipment and power electronics testing methodologies.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in prototype development and NPD will be preferred.

Education

B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a relevant technical discipline.

Compensation

CTC: 5 LPA – 10 LPA

Salary will be offered based on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, relevant industry exposure, and performance.
