Job summary

Ss Ventures in Delhi seeks a Senior R&D / NPD Engineer to lead the development of UPS, inverter, and lithium battery-based power electronics products from its Delhi location.

The role requires hands-on expertise in power electronics R&D, product architecture, new product development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting, with the ability to drive projects from concept to production and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 12–20 years of relevant experience in Power Electronics R&D / NPD.
• Strong experience in UPS, Inverters, Power Conversion, or related products.
• Experience with Lithium Battery / BMS / ESS / BESS is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end R&D and NPD activities for UPS, inverter, and lithium-based power electronics products.
• Develop product architecture, power-stage design, control strategies, and system specs.
• Work on DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC converters, inverter topologies, switching devices, and power stages.
• Develop and optimize products integrated with Lithium Battery, BMS, ESS/BESS, and energy-storage systems.
• Drive product development from concept, design, simulation, prototype, testing, validation, and production release.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Evaluate and select critical power electronic components and technologies.
• Collaborate with Embedded, PCB, Mechanical, Testing, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior R&D / NPD Engineer to lead the development of advanced UPS, inverter, and lithium battery-based power electronics products from our Delhi location.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Power Electronics R&D, product architecture, new product development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting, with the ability to independently drive projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end R&D and NPD activities for UPS, inverter, and lithium-based power electronics products.
• Develop product architecture, power-stage design, control strategies, and system specifications.
• Work on DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC converters, inverter topologies, switching devices, and power stages.
• Develop and optimize products integrated with Lithium Battery, BMS, ESS/BESS, and energy-storage systems.
• Drive product development from concept, design, simulation, prototype, testing, validation, and production release.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, failure analysis, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Evaluate and select critical power electronic components and technologies.
• Work closely with Embedded, PCB, Mechanical, Testing, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
• Review technical designs, BOMs, specifications, test reports, and validation documents.
• Drive product performance, efficiency, reliability, safety, and cost optimization.
• Mentor junior R&D engineers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12–20 years of relevant experience in Power Electronics R&D / NPD.
• Strong experience in UPS, Inverters, Power Conversion, or related products.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in power electronics hardware and product development.
• Experience with Lithium Battery / BMS / ESS / BESS is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of inverter topologies, converters, power semiconductor devices, control systems, magnetics, and power stages.
• Proven experience in end‑to‑end product development and validation.
• Strong technical leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Compensation

20 LPA – 40 LPA, based on experience, technical expertise, relevant industry exposure, and performance.
