Job summary

Tracks and towers infratech pvt ltd, based in Hyderabad, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to review pre-bid tenders, estimate quantities for road and bridge works, and prepare bills of quantities for railway and highway projects.

The role requires 5+ years in quantity surveying or cost consulting, familiarity with construction standards, and strong cost management skills. EPC experience is preferred; knowledge of AutoCAD helps in reading drawings.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing pre-bid tender documents, estimating/quantities for road works and bridges works, analysing terms & conditions of tender, post tender submission activities.
• Preparation of bill of quantities for railway projects, highways & structures
• Understanding typical cross sections and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
• Calculating major materials required for projects, change of scope proposals, and documentation of records.
• Verifying and certifying the subcontractor bills and other works as assigned by your superiors.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelors of Technology or a diploma (Civil) degree.
• 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.
• Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques.
• Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.
• Understanding general contracting, design-build, package contracting, value-based project and loading margins and lumpsum in commercial fit-out, residential, hotel or retail projects.

Note: Preference shall be given to the people who has minimum 2 years of experience in calculating quantities for EPC projects (Railways & Highways)
