Job summary

E C R Buildtech in New Delhi, India, seeks a diligent Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Executive to prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs from drawings, and detailed estimates for projects.

You will verify quantities through site measurements, prepare rate analyses, monitor costs, review subcontractor bills, certifications, and assist in variation, escalation and claims while coordinating with planning, execution, billing, procurement and accounts for cost control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs and detailed estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare client RA Bills, subcontractor bills and certification documents.
• Verify quantities through site measurements and jointly record measurements with the client/consultant.
• Prepare Rate Analysis for new, extra, substituted and variation items.
• Monitor BOQ quantities, variations and deviations against the approved contract.
• Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB), reconciliation statements and quantity records.
• Conduct reconciliation of cement, steel, concrete, blocks, tiles and other major materials.
• Monitor project costs, budget, commitments and cost-to-complete.
• Review subcontractor/vendor bills and certify quantities as per work executed.
• Assist in preparation and submission of variation, extra item, escalation and claims.
• Review contract conditions, drawings, specifications and BOQ to identify commercial implications.
• Coordinate with Planning, Execution, Billing, Procurement and Accounts teams for project cost control.
• Maintain records of work orders, purchase orders, amendments, client instructions and approvals.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, BOQ and site conditions and raise necessary commercial queries.
• Assist in preparation of monthly cost reports and project commercial MIS.
• Ensure proper documentation for EOT, delay claims and other contractual claims.
• Support tendering activities by preparing quantity take-offs, rate analysis and cost estimates when required.
