Job summary

Pragati Infra Pvt. Ltd. in Pune is seeking an experienced Quantity Estimation & Billing professional to support road and infrastructure projects.

You will prepare quantity take-offs, verify BOQ, and manage measurements across earthwork, GSB/WMM, bituminous, concrete, drainage, culverts, retaining structures, and utilities. You will reconcile estimates with site execution, prepare RA bills, coordinate with site engineers, and ensure timely billing to clients and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Verify BOQ quantities for road and infrastructure works.
• Calculate quantities for earthwork, GSB/WMM, bituminous, concrete, drainage, culverts/bridges, and retaining structures.
• Reconcile estimated quantities with actual site execution.
• Prepare RA bills as per work progress and coordinate with site engineers for measurements.
• Submit bills to client/consultant within timelines and track certification.
• Prepare subcontractor bills and ensure payments per work orders.
• Monitor project costs, prepare monthly cost reports, and identify cost overruns.
• Maintain contract records, variation orders, and documentation for audits.
• Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, procurement, and client/consultant teams.

Job description

1. Quantity Estimation & BOQ Verification

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Verify BOQ quantities for road and infrastructure works.
• Calculate quantities for:
  • Earthwork
  • GSB / WMM
  • Bituminous works
  • Concrete works
  • Drainage works
  • Culverts / Bridges
  • Retaining structures
  • Utility works
• Reconcile estimated quantities with actual site execution.

2. Client Billing & RA Bills

• Prepare Running Account (RA) bills as per work progress.
• Coordinate with site engineers for measurement records.
• Submit bills to client/consultant within timelines.
• Track bill certification and payment status.
• Prepare escalation and variation claims wherever applicable.

3. Subcontractor Billing

• Verify subcontractor measurements and bills.
• Prepare and certify subcontractor payment statements.
• Ensure billing is as per work order terms and approved quantities.
• Maintain reconciliation of subcontractor quantities.

4. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring

• Monitor project cost against approved budget.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and quantity reconciliation.
• Identify wastage, excess consumption, and cost overruns.
• Assist management in cost optimization and profitability analysis.

5. Contract Management

• Study contract documents, technical specifications, and tender conditions.
• Maintain records of extra items, deviations, and variation orders.
• Assist in preparation of claims and contractual correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and project procedures.

6. Measurement & Documentation

• Maintain measurement sheets and billing records.
• Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, and execution teams.
• Maintain DPR-related quantity records.
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and client verification.

7. Coordination

• Coordinate with:
  • Site Engineers
  • Planning Department
  • Billing Team
  • Client / Consultant
  • Procurement Department
• Support project team for smooth commercial operations.
