Job Overview

Roquette, a family‑owned global leader in plant‑based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients, seeks a Quality Manager for its Gokak unit. The role focuses on delivering excellence through continuous improvement, customer focus, and compliance‑driven quality management.

Key Accountabilities

• Guarantee customer satisfaction and quality performance by contributing to the Group Quality strategy and policies.
• Lead the implementation of the “Roquette Total Quality System” and related processes and tools.
• Manage and develop the operational quality network at the site.
• Organise external & internal quality audits and support maturity assessments.
• Drive follow‑up of major quality failures and corrective actions.
• Represent Roquette as synonymous with quality and excellence, reinforcing a shared “One Roquette” quality image.

Key Activities

• Manage and develop the site operational quality team.
• Define and lead the site operational quality strategy, objectives, and master plan.
• Identify improvement opportunities from audits and manage interventions to meet objectives.
• Provide technical assistance across the value chain.
• Coach managers and leaders to embed cultural transformation.
• Develop skills, competencies, and succession plans for the quality network.
• Share best practices and raise standardisation levels.
• Communicate operational quality internally and externally as required.
• Maintain product licences, system certificates, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with customer care and commercial teams on claims, audits, and customer engagement.
• Monitor quality performance, aiming for zero defect and reducing Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
• Adapt quality systems and tools to local standards while preserving core values.
• Support the IPC laboratory to maintain consistent quality control standards.
• Work with HRBP to design, roll‑out, and improve training programmes for the total quality culture.

Apply and maintain relevant product licences and system certificates to meet customer requirements and comply with site‑specific quality regulations.

Qualifications

• MS or master’s in technology or engineering degree.
