Job summary

Roquette seeks a Maintenance Supervisor – Instrumentation for its Pantnagar manufacturing team. The role focuses on maintaining process instruments, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with production to optimize uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ diploma in electronics, instrumentation or related field with 7–8+ years in food processing or chemical industry.
• Experience in maintaining process instrumentation including pressure, temp, flow transmitters, pH, conductivity, control valves.
• Familiar with safety procedures, 5S, audits and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure maximum and quality production.
• Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of instrumentation as per schedule.
• Forecast critical spares to minimize downtime and maintain availability.
• Maintain calibration records and CMMS documentation for audits.
• Authorize work permits and ensure safe execution of maintenance jobs.
• Record and report breakdowns, status, and spares used; participate in root-cause analysis.

To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor – Instrumentation within the Manufacturing team! This position will be located in Pantnagar.

Team & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with concerned production supervisors to have maximum and desired capacity production of required quality.
• Should have knowledge process instrumentation – Pressure / temperature / flow transmitter, pH, conductivity, On-Off valve, Control valves etc.
• Should be able to Perform safety interlock checking / calibration of instruments as per ISO calendar, preventive/predictive maintenance work of plant as per schedule.
• Should be able to forecast for critical spares based on his engineering skills & to ensure availability of critical spares to reduce the breakdown time.
• Should be able to maintain calibration & preventive maintenance records to adhere with the audit compliance.
• To ensure the maintenance jobs are safely undertaken in line with work permit system.
• Act as Quality Coordinator.
• Handle all audits related to Quality.
• Ensure all dept. personnel follow safety precautions.
• Daily checking and reporting of manpower (company / contract).
• Maintain and update the logbook and equipment record sheets in CMMS.
• Reporting to Manager for job done, status of pending jobs, break down if any and spare used.
• Raise the indents for spare procurement especially spare drawn from store.
• Allotment of jobs to technician / fitters.
• Maintaining 5S of allocated area.
• To upkeep the premises clean and safe.
• Identifying critical equipment /systems of allotted area and prepare complete document necessary for day-to-day operation.
• Verification of the expenditure bills / job done.
• To record the repeated/critical problem of allotted area along with RCA and fix a brain storming session after discussion with area in charge/reporting manager.
• Authorized to draw material from stores as per define cost limit.
• To approve the work permit.
• Accountable for breakdown time & it will be key KPI.
• Ensure emergency spare readily available in dept. to increase the equipment availability.
• Follow the work permit system and ensure to perform all the job safely.
• Preparing document of any change made in process lines e.g. new installation, modification of lines etc. for effective FSMS.
