Orbit & Skyline, Inc. in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar is looking for a dedicated Sr. Quality Engineer to enhance its semiconductor services. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering and over 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

The ideal candidate will manage client requirements, develop business processes, and undertake advanced statistical projects. They will also oversee a Quality Management System, ensuring improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather client requirements and translate them into system requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers on critical part features and sampling plans.

What Makes you Eligible?

You are where our search ends if you hold:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical or related engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience working in the Quality Assurance/ Statistical Process departments of Manufacturing/ Service industries.
• Proficient in communicating in English.
• Experience in handling Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, and advanced statistical analysis projects.
• Knowledge of 5S, 8D, Kaizen, QC tools, PFMEA.
• Should possess good knowledge of visualization dashboards like Power BI, Excel, and Qlik.
• Must be proficient in GD&T and reading drawings.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications & SAP environment.
• Independently work on software like JMP & Minitab.

Good to have skills

• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and its queries.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook, and MS Teams.
• Should have managed a team of quality engineers and executed projects with the team.

Wondering what your Responsibilities would be?

• Proactively gather client requirements and specifications, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs. Translate these requirements into detailed system requirements.
• Develop comprehensive business processes, flow diagrams, procedures, and work practices to encompass the entire project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with suppliers to define critical part features, establish sampling plans, and conduct process capability studies.
• Undertake advanced statistical projects including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Regression, and Hypothesis testing.
• Manage a Quality Management System (QMS) by documenting incidents, implementing fixes, and driving continuous improvements.
• Develop and implement Best Known Methods (BKMs) to streamline processes, updating quality documents as needed.
• Design and implement a supplier scorecard strategy, actively working on enhancing the scoring system.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding, execution, and delivery phases of projects.
