Job summary

Zensar Technologies in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced Test Lead/QA Lead to drive end-to-end quality across applications and services. You will lead API testing (manual and automated), non-functional testing, and SQL validation; design and maintain automation scripts in GitHub; mentor the QA team; and partner with Product, Development, and other functions to ensure high-quality releases.

You will also contribute to CI/CD integration and uphold testing standards and best practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Test Lead or QA Lead leading end-to-end testing.
• Strong API testing experience, both manual and automated.

Job Description: Test Lead / QA Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead / QA Lead to lead end-to-end quality assurance activities across applications and services. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in API Testing, Test Automation, Non-Functional Testing, SQL/Database Validation, along with proven experience in leading testing activities and driving quality engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA activities, including test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and release sign-off.
• Own overall quality outcomes and proactively identify, assess, and mitigate testing and release risks.
• Design, execute, and automate API testing, covering both manual and automated testing approaches.
• Plan and execute Non-Functional Testing, including Performance, Load, Stress, and Scalability Testing.
• Perform SQL and database validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, with version control and execution managed through GitHub.
• Define and drive testing standards, best practices, quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Development, Business, and other cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Lead defect triage, root cause discussions, and quality reviews.
• Mentor QA team members and provide technical leadership and guidance on testing strategies and automation approaches.
• Support and improve automation integration within CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide clear testing status, quality metrics, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Test Lead, QA Lead, or Senior QA Engineer leading end-to-end testing activities.
• Strong hands‑on experience in API Testing, both Manual and Automation.
• Strong experience in Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Performance, Load, Stress, and Scalability Testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Database Testing/Validation.
• Experience in developing and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks and automated scripts.
• Hands‑on experience managing test automation code/scripts using GitHub.
• Good understanding of CI/CD practices and automation integration.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles and testing best practices.
