Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced QA Lead in India to drive quality across software testing initiatives. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on automation and proven team leadership to mentor QA engineers and shape testing strategy.

You will design and maintain scalable UI/API/end-to-end automation frameworks, integrate automation into CI/CD, and push AI/Agentic AI-based testing practices. Collaboration with Development, Product, and DevOps is essential to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA/testing experience with hands-on automation.
• Strong automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit/PyTest/Cucumber.
• Understanding of Agile, SDLC/STLC, and end-to-end testing.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and QA reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team including task tracking and reviews.
• Define QA strategy, test plans, automation strategy, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD and drive shift-left practices.
• Drive AI/Agentic AI-powered testing and AI-based test data generation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with 8+ years of experience in software testing, strong handson expertise in test automation, and proven experience in leading QA teams. The candidate will beresponsible for driving QA strategy, automation, team management, quality processes, and adoption of AI/Agentic AI-based testing

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team; handle work allocation, task tracking, performance, andtechnical reviews.
  
• Define and implement QA strategy, test plans, automation strategy, and quality standards.Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-endautomation frameworks.
  
• Conduct automation code reviews and ensure coding, testing, and documentation standards.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish automated quality gates.Drive shift-left testing, continuous testing, and automation-first QA practices.
  
• Introduce and implement AI/Agentic AI-powered testing, including AI-based test-case generation,test execution, failure analysis, test-data generation, and automation maintenance.
  
• Monitor QA metrics including automation coverage, defect leakage, regression stability, and releasequality.Work closely with Development, Product, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure high-qualityreleases.
  
• Perform root-cause analysis of critical defects and drive preventive actions.Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and technologies to improve productivity and quality
  

Requirements

Required Skills

• 8+ years of QA/testing experience, including significant hands‑on automation experience.
  
• Strong expertise in tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.
  
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Cucumber, or equivalent frameworks.
  
• Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, STLC, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  
• Proven experience in QA team leadership, task allocation, mentoring, and code/test reviews.
  
• Good knowledge of SQL/database testing.Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills
  

Good to Have

• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, AI testing tools, or Agentic AI frameworks.
  
• Experience implementing AI‑driven/self‑healing test automation.
  
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar tools.Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, Microservices, and APIs.Experience testing enterprise SaaS/ERP applications.
