Job summary

OmnifiCX, Inc. is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to own the quality strategy for our product.

You will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and Playwright, lead regression and smoke testing, and ensure high-quality releases through CI/CD pipeline integration. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to enable fast, reliable, and scalable test automation across the product lifecycle, while mentoring junior QA engineers and driving best practices in testing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java-based test automation.
• Solid experience with Playwright for web automation.
• Proven expertise in regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation.
• Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins pipelines.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques and QA best practices.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Ability to debug issues across UI, API, and backend layers.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end quality assurance strategy for the product.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Playwright.
• Lead regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation for web applications.
• Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure automated tests are executed as part of build, deployment, and release pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify flaky tests, and continuously improve test reliability.
• Define test plans, test strategies, and quality metrics for releases.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality at every stage.
• Review automation code and enforce best practices, standards, and reusability.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers, conducting code reviews and technical coaching.
• Proactively identify quality risks and drive defect prevention initiatives.
• Ensure proper reporting and visibility of test coverage, defects, and release readiness.
