Purpose
Establish plans for the development, deployment, and monitoring of QA activities and systems, including early involvement through drawing feedback, system requirement assessment, design verification, benchmarking, deployment of SC/CCs, Supplier Readiness Process (SPR), APQP, and PPAP approval with SPTR assessment at run-at-rate capacity.
Plan and execute programmed projects to meet internal and external customer expectations and requirements.
Role Description
Discrete responsibilities listed in order of priority.
- Use learning from past product problems-TGW, field complaints, warranty, AQI, FQI, and PPFRs-as design inputs through DFB, FMEA inputs, and SRS feedback.
- Incorporate product and process benchmarking improvements into the NPD programme.
- Provide early inputs through drawing feedback, DFMEA participation at system, subsystem, and part levels, and SC/CC deployment planning.
- Ensure development and adherence to an adequate DVP, including closure of ETR and ETL non-conformities.
- Deploy supplier process-readiness requirements, provide feedback, and close identified gaps.
- Assess significant production trial runs at the planned run-at-rate.
- Participate in product-level problem-solving as part of NPD progression.
Managing Points
- On-time DFB and benchmark analysis - UOM: Score and percentage; Review frequency: Daily.
- AQI, FQI, Engineering RT, Vehicle RT, and PPFR target achievement - UOM: Number of suppliers; Review frequency: Weekly.
- On-time closure of PQM incidents, including DVP, ETR/ETL, AQI, FQI, RT non-conformities, and PPFR - UOM: Percentage; Review frequency: Daily.
- On-time completion of SPR and SPTR - UOM: Number; Review frequency: Daily.
- On-time closure of TOC, file transfers, SUC, and related activities - UOM: Percentage; Review frequency: Weekly.
- New product development DWM - UOM: Percentage; Review frequency: Daily.
Authority
- Decide the disposition of supplier parts in the supply chain based on conformance to quality levels defined by TMIS, TSDS, and drawings.
- Allocate daily work management based on need and urgency.
- Develop training content and conduct training.
- Prepare or revise QSP, QSW, GL, and related documents.
- Approve PPAP.
Requirements
- Mechanical qualification with 10+ years of experience in NPD or QAD, including at least 3+ years handling casting and forging.
