Job summary

The QA Engineer is responsible for Process Assurance at Assy Shop line (Weld shop). Handling the rejection analysis within CFT and working on the root cause. Maintaining the dimensional PIST and coordinating with CFT to control and monitor the same.

QA Engineer is responsible for Control plan review, IATF, VDA and all other Audits compliance. Responsibilities include ensuring PPES in Weld Shop, weld part quality, various inspections, QA documentation on the shop floor, and 8D corrective actions

Qualifications

• BE/ BTech/ DME or equivalent engineering degree.
• APQP, PPAP, IATF, Core Tools, VDA 6.5 and VDA 6.3 trainings.
• GD&T knowledge applicable to dimensional control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with PPES in Weld Shop.
• Oversee weld part quality and first/middle/last part inspections.
• Monitor dimensional PIST and coordinate with CFT for control.
• Review Control Plans and ensure audit readiness (IATF, VDA, etc.).
• Lead Kaizen initiatives on the shop floor.
• Interface with CMM team for dimensional stability.

Summary of Role:

The QA Engineer is responsible for Process Assurance at Assy Shop line (Weld shop). Handling the rejection analysis within CFT and working on the root cause. Maintaining the dimensional PIST and coordinating with CFT to control and monitor the same. QA Engineer is responsible for Control plan review, IATF, VDA and all other Audits compliance.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for following all desired PPES in Weld Shop.
• Responsible for Weld Part Quality.
• Responsible for First/Middle/Last part inspection.
• Responsible for dimensional PIST & weld PIST-monitoring & improvement.
• Kaizen implementation on shop floor.
• Responsible for customer audit & open point closure.
• CSR monthly submission to customer.
• Responsible for QMS documentation on shop floor.
• Responsible for first time through of assy & improvement.
• Schedule, coordinate and report from Table cross-functional meetings to address internal concern. (CFT Round Table meeting)
• Responsible for all aspects of corrective actions (on time closures, repeat concerns, root cause, 8D.
• Conduct product audit to verify stability of the process.
• Interface with CMM team to ensure dimensional stability being met as per customer requirements & consistency monitoring.
• Perform system audits of part production programs and part reviews to ensure acceptable quality levels are maintained and properly monitored.
• Perform analyses for verification of quality concern corrective action effectiveness.
• Checking fixture/Guage inspection.
• Review and update required documentation.
• Conduct process audits to ensure accuracy wrt. To Control Plan and inspection aids are present meeting the line process flow.
• Ensure that the requirements of the Control Plan are being fulfilled.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities for production.
• Responsible for scrap reduction initiatives as it relates to reduction in Risk Prior Numbers. (RPN) Support and drive as required.
• Documentation Review for accuracy and timely completion all quality programs (i.e. quality alerts, Control Plans, SOS JES).
• Maintain control of rejected parts in the plant, Hold Area as per Nonconforming Material Process.
• Verification to clear the rejection and quarantine material within 24 /48 Hrs. And check updated the same on scrap and quarantine register.
• Layout audit as per plan.
• Responsible for maintaining 5S.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Responsible for MQS Implementation.
• Responsible for ARMAXX Implementation.
