Job summary

AMS Human Resources invites a Manager- Manager Quality to lead quality assurance across manufacturing and supplier networks in Attibele, Karnataka. This role emphasizes continuous improvement, CAPA, and robust QA methodologies on casting, forging, machining, fabrication, painting, surface treatment, heat treatment and assembly.

The candidate will drive QMS implementations, coordinate labs for testing, manage supplier performance, and ensure strict adherence to GD&T and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the product Quality and continuous improvement in the quality of the product /process.
• CAPA on product & process defects and customer complaints related to SCM (corrective and preventive actions)
• Containment actions for quality defect
• Total Supplier Performance Management
• Ensure Calibration of Measurement Systems across Value Chain
• Coordination with Labs for material testing
• QMS implementation and improvement at supplier place
• Customer Complaints Handling
• Supplier audits
• Supplier selection, qualification and development
• Ensure improvement in KPI related to IQC
• Exposure and knowledge Machining
• Knowledge on Sheetmetal, Welding, Painting and Special Processes (Plating, Galvanizing, Anodizing)
• Interpretation of STANDARDS.
• Good understanding of drawing - Reading and its interpretation
• Problem solving - Data driven, Discrete manufacturing
• Exposure to audit - Product, Process & System - eye for details through observation
• Calibration Process and Procedures
• Exposure to SPC / SQC
• Familiarity with inspection methodology of different commodities of products
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T tolerances & other quality control standards
• Exposure in Casting, Forging, Machining, fabrication, Painting, surface treatment, heat treatment and Assembly processes
