Job summary

Moder Solutions is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join the BAU project team. The role focuses on functional, mobile, and web testing, ETL validation, and advanced SQL, with hands-on work in JIRA and Zephyr.

Strong leadership is needed to drive testing activities, meet SLAs, and ensure high-quality deliverables. The candidate should have experience coordinating across cross-functional teams, balancing hands-on testing with leadership, and basic automation using Selenium with Java for regression

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Functional Testing, Mobile and Web Testing, and ETL(DB – SQL) Testing.
• Excellent understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Zephyr for defect and test management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for test data preparation, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end Functional Testing, Web, Mobile Application testing, ETL/Data Validation Testing for enhancements and production releases.
• Lead testing efforts and coordinate across cross-functional teams while managing BAU deliverables.
• Validate data integrity using Advanced SQL concepts, including joins, stored procedures, subqueries, and data reconciliation.
• Execute test cases, identify defects, and track them to closure using JIRA and Zephyr.
• Develop, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and data validation test suites.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. QA Analyst to join our Business-as-Usual (BAU) project team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Functional Testing, Web and Mobile application testing, ETL Testing, QA methodologies, and Advanced SQL, along with hands‑on experience in test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr. The candidate should be capable of independently managing testing activities, leading team, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and meeting defined SLAs. Basic automation knowledge using Selenium with Java will be an added advantage.

• Shift Timing: 3:00 PM IST 12:00 AM IST
• Location: Bangalore, Chennai

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end Functional Testing, Web, Mobile Application testing, ETL/Data Validation Testing for enhancements and production releases.
• Strong experience in Mobile Application Testing across Android and iOS platforms using emulators, simulators, and real devices
• Experience leading large-scale initiatives from planning through execution while coordinating across cross-functional teams.
• The ability to balance hands‑on testing responsibilities with leadership responsibilities on complex testing efforts.
• Strong database working knowledge – Advance SQL
• Analyze business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Validate data integrity using Advanced SQL concepts, including joins, stored procedures, subqueries, and data reconciliation techniques.
• Execute test cases, identify defects, and ensure timely defect tracking, reporting, and closure using JIRA and Zephyr.
• Independently manage BAU deliverables while ensuring adherence to defined SLAs and quality standards.
• Develop, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and data validation test suites.
• Support release validation and production deployment activities, including off-hours testing when required.
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and project teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Create and maintain test metrics, status reports, and quality dashboards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement reviews, and design discussions to identify testing impacts and risks early.
• Ensure compliance with organizational QA processes, SDLC standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and test optimization initiatives.
• Basic automation support using Selenium with Java for regression or repeatable test scenarios (good-to-have).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Functional Testing, Mobile and Web Testing, and ETL(DB – SQL) Testing.
• Excellent understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA and Zephyr for defect and test management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for test data preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Basic automation knowledge using Selenium with Java.
• Exposure to Appium or mobile testing.
• Hands on with AI tools and experience in AI-assisted QA capabilities
• Experience with UiPath or other automation/RPA tools.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Maven, or similar tools.

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related roles.
• Proven experience in independently handling BAU projects and production support testing activities.
• Experience in creating test plans, test strategies, defect management, and quality reporting.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in Software Testing, Agile, Selenium, or Quality Assurance will be an added advantage.
