Job summary

Straive in Chennai is seeking a Senior QA Automation Analyst with 5+ years of hands-on experience to own end-to-end quality assurance, build robust automated test suites, and drive data-driven test strategies in an Agile/DevOps environment.

You will design test cases, perform API testing, manage defects in JIRA, and collaborate with development and support teams to ensure rapid, reliable releases in the BFSI domain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, with BFSI exposure preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks and programming in Java or Python.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end (E2E) testing scope, write test cases, and manage test execution.
• Build, maintain, and execute robust test automation suites and scripts to support rapid software releases.
• Manage defect lifecycles in JIRA and create daily/weekly testing status and blocker reports.
• Analyze business, functional, technical, and UI requirements across the SDLC.
• Perform API testing (Postman, RestAssured) and investigate production issues by recreating them in test environments.
• Collaborate across development, testing, and support teams to clarify specifications and mitigate risks.

Role Overview This role is responsible for end-to-end quality assurance, test case creation, and test automation for enterprise software applications. The team needs a seasoned QA Analyst to improve overall test coverage, catch defects early, and support rapid release cycles within an Agile/DevOps environment. Its core purpose is to drive both functional and automated testing standards while safeguarding software quality and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
