Job summary

Rhysley is looking for a QA IT Executive to strengthen the QA team for our SaaS products across web and mobile platforms. The role requires owning test strategy, planning, executing, and documenting testing, while mentoring junior QA engineers and ensuring quality across parallel projects with tight releases.

You will drive functional, regression, and non-functional testing, API validation, and AI/LLM testing using Postman, Playwright, Selenium, and performance tools, in a dynamic Agile setup.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on QA experience on complex prod apps.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing across web/mobile.
• Design and execute end-to-end test cases for complex workflows.
• Log, track, and retest defects in Jira with clear steps and evidence.

• Own weekly QA governance reports and cycle-time tracking.

About the Role

Rhysley is hiring a QA IT Executive to strengthen the Quality Assurance team supporting our portfolio of live, production-grade SaaS products across web and mobile platforms. The product portfolio spans multiple domains and will continue to evolve, so this role calls for a seasoned QA professional with strong, transferable QA fundamentals someone who can independently own test strategy, plan, execute, and document testing across platforms, mentor junior QA engineers, and drive quality across multiple parallel projects and products with tight release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand functional and business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and detailed test cases, covering positive, negative, edge-case, and end-to-end business flows.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing across web and mobile applications, and other platforms as applicable to the product.
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases for complex business applications, covering workflows, calculations, data validation, integrations, permissions, and end-to-end user scenarios.
• Log, track, and retest defects in Jira (or equivalent tool) with clear reproduction steps, severity/priority tagging, and evidence (screenshots/screen recordings/logs).
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and release readiness/go-live checklist reviews, providing QA sign-off recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation test plans, test case sheets, RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix), and test summary/closure reports.
• Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to close ambiguities and validate fixes quickly in a timely manner.
• Perform API testing and backend validation using tools such as Postman.
• Test AI/LLM-based features for accuracy, relevance, consistency, hallucinations, edge cases, and adversarial scenarios using appropriate evaluation tools and frameworks.
• Perform non-functional testing load, stress, and performance testing to validate application response time, stability under concurrent users, and overall performance, using tools such as k6 or JMeter.
• Own weekly QA governance reporting a ticket counts, SOP adherence, and cycle-time tracking and present status updates to the QA Lead and stakeholders.
• Own end-to-end QA strategy and test planning for assigned product modules, ensuring adequate coverage across functional, regression, and non-functional testing.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications using appropriate automation frameworks.
• Mentor and guide junior/mid-level QA engineers on test design, tool usage, and defect triage best practices, and review their test cases and bug reports for quality.
• Proactively identify quality risks, release blockers, and potential production-impacting issues, and expand them with clear recommendations.

3. Required Experience

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on Software QA experience, with proven ownership of complex, production-grade applications and releases.
• Strong experience independently defining QA strategy, test planning, test coverage, execution, and release readiness.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and driving QA activities throughout the complete development and release lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience handling multiple applications/features and parallel releases while maintaining quality and timelines.
• Experience mentoring QA team members, reviewing test cases and defects, and acting as a QA owner/point of contact for assigned products or releases.

4. Required Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of SDLC, STLC, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and QA best practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with test and defect management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with API testing, including REST APIs, request/response validation, authentication, status codes, and error handling, using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Strong SQL and database validation skills for backend and data-level testing.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using browser developer tools, application logs, network analysis, and other relevant diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile application testing, including cross-browser, responsive, real-device, permissions, notifications, deep links, and related scenarios.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation, including the ability to design, build, maintain, and execute automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.
• Hands-on knowledge of performance, load, and stress testing, including the ability to design and execute tests using tools such as k6, JMeter, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of AI/LLM application testing, including response accuracy, relevance, consistency, hallucination testing, prompt validation, edge cases, and adversarial scenarios; familiarity with AI evaluation tools/frameworks is an advantage.
• Good understanding of CI/CD integration for automated testing, version control, and automated regression execution.
• Basic understanding of application security testing, including authentication, authorization, session management, role-based access, data exposure, and common security risks.
