Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual and automated testing, a strong understanding of SDLC/STLC, and the ability to design and execute comprehensive test strategies. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business teams to deliver high-quality software that meets user expectations and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test documentation based on project requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify, document, and resolve bugs.
- Use bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello) to log, monitor, and verify defect fixes.
- Implement and improve automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and processes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives) to ensure quality is integrated into every stage of development.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
- Proficiency in test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows.
- Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC and agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
