PRL Developers in Mumbai is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to lead contracts & procurement. You will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, review specifications, shortlist vendors, and drive value through strategic sourcing and cost optimization.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, ensuring timely vendor quotations, and managing SAP-based purchase orders with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and ongoing supplier development.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of experience in contract management or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of purchase/contracts and vendor management best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills for negotiating contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement contracts from initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors; negotiate terms and resolve issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing plans.
• Coordinate with Design, Project and Import teams for material selections and requirements.
• Prepare enquiries and issue RFQs; follow up for timely quotations.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in SAP; ensure compliance with terms.

Location - Mumbai (Lower Parel)

Department - Contracts & Procurement

Designation - Manager / Senior Manager

Roles & Responsibilities.

• Receiving & reviewing technical specifications, bill of quantity, drawings; checking and discussing the same with Project Managers/ Design team to determine if any value engineering or changes to be made based on new technology or past experiences.
• Shortlisting the suitable suppliers/ Contractors/ manufacturers based on Market survey, recommendation from Project/ Design teams and further shortlisting the best ones through Vendor evaluation.
• Preparing enquiry documents (technical & commercial) and floating enquiries to the shortlisted vendors.
• Following up with the vendors to get the quotations on-time to avoid any delay
• Carrying out the Negotiations in Two stage bidding process; 1. Executing the Prebid meetings for clearing the Technical queries of Vendors and 2. Pure commercial negotiations
• Coordinating with: Design and Project team for various material selections/ Site requirements. Import department and preparing all the required documents
• Preparing Comparatives, Note for Approval/LOI/ Work Order/ Purchase Order in SAP and Issuance of Orders in line with the finalized Value, Technical Specifications and Commercial Terms & Conditions.
• Introducing the new materials and methods for construction by regularly meeting new vendors/ contractors. Providing in-depth analysis of markets, industry trends, construction materials and methodologies to improve strategic planning and decision-making.
• Developing alternate vendor base to achieve cost reduction, increase revenues, streamline process workflow and to create a team work environment to enhance productivity innovatively for in-house and vendors parts
• Managing the end to end Contracts operations and enhancing the operational efficiency by eliminating obsolescence and achieving cost reduction through vendor development, curbing rework & rejection, materials management and inventory control
• Preparing the presentations of Project Wise Orders placed on fortnightly & quarterly basis for Management Review , Managing the processes as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Arranging the site visits for Material / work review of Vendors/ Contractors
• Maintaining & Presenting the Budget VS Actual Order Amount Tracker Sheet for all The Projects to HOD

Desired Candidate Profile

• Manage procurement contracts from initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
