Job summary

C P Arora Engineers Contractors is seeking a seasoned mechanical procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing for road construction infrastructure projects in Delhi. The role involves sourcing heavy equipment, spares, and consumables, while building a strong vendor network and ensuring timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years in mechanical procurement, hands-on experience with HMP/WMM/Aphalt Plants and robust negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8-12 years overall mechanical purchase/procurement experience.
• 4-5 years in road construction/infra/EPC sectors preferred.
• Hands-on with procurement of road construction machinery and spares.
• Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
• Experience with ERP/SAP systems and MS Excel.

• Manage end-to-end procurement of mechanical equipment, machinery, spare parts, tools and consumables for road construction projects.
• Handle procurement of spare parts for HMP, WMM, asphalt plants and other heavy equipment.
• Identify and maintain a vendor network including OEMs and dealers.
• Negotiate prices, terms, warranties and delivery schedules.
• Prepare quotations, issue PO after approvals, and maintain procurement MIS.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely material availability.

Job description

• Manage end-to-end procurement of mechanical equipment, machinery, spare parts, tools and consumables for road construction and infrastructure projects.
• Handle procurement of spare parts and components for Hot Mix Plants (HMP), Wet Mix Plants (WMM), Asphalt Plants, Stone Crushers, Pavers, Road Rollers, Motor Graders, Excavators, Dozers and other heavy construction equipment.
• Identify, develop and maintain a strong vendor and supplier network, including OEMs and authorized dealers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and other commercial conditions.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare comparative statements and issue purchase orders after necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with project teams, plant managers and mechanical maintenance departments to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels of mechanical spares, lubricants, filters, bearings, hydraulic components and other critical materials.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials at project sites to minimize equipment downtime.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery and after-sales support.
• Maintain purchase documentation, vendor records, purchase orders and procurement MIS.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and technical specifications.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 8-12 years of overall experience in mechanical purchase and procurement.
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in Road Construction, Highway Projects, Infrastructure or EPC companies.
• Must have hands-on experience in procurement of road construction machinery, mechanical spares and heavy equipment.
• Good knowledge of HMP, WMM, Asphalt Plants, Pavers, Rollers, Crushers, Excavators and other construction equipment.
• Strong vendor development, negotiation and commercial skills.
• Experience in project-based procurement and coordination with site teams.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP / SAP systems.

Industry Preference

Candidates currently or previously working with Road Construction Companies, Highway EPC Contractors, Infrastructure Companies and Heavy Construction Equipment Companies will be preferred.
