Job summary

HYT Engineering is seeking a procurement professional to manage vendor development, negotiate contracts, and coordinate materials across construction sites in India. You will handle labour contractor agreements, ensure statutory compliance, and oversee procurement of civil materials to meet project schedules.

The role requires coordinating with multiple sites, maintaining records, and supporting budgeting and cost analysis to optimize procurement performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing labour contractors and ensuring statutory compliance.
• Procurement of civil construction materials and cost control.
• Ability to manage purchase orders, quotations and approvals.
• Experience coordinating across multiple project sites.

• Search and handle labour contractors for construction sites across India and formalize work agreements; ensure statutory compliances.
• Procurement of civil construction materials including TMT steel, cement, bricks, sand, aggregates, tiles, plumbing and sanitary items; ensure timely supply.
• Manage purchase orders, quotations, and approval processes to support project schedules.
• Coordinate with multiple project sites for material requirements and ensure smooth delivery and availability at all locations.
• Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, cost analysis, and support budgeting and procurement planning.

Procurement Management

• Search and handle labour contractors for construction sites all over India and formalize the work agreements, check statutory compliances (like labor licenses), and finalize the rates or cost control terms. (must have experience in this)

Handle procurement of all civil construction materials including: TMT steel, structural steel, cement, PEB structures, bricks, sand, aggregates, tiles, plumbing & sanitary materials, and other site requirements.

• Ensure timely procurement and supply of materials as per project schedules.
• Manage purchase orders, quotations, and approval processes.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for construction materials.
• Maintain a strong vendor database for competitive pricing and quality supply.
• Monitor vendor performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Negotiation & Contracting

• Negotiate rates and finalize contracts with vendors.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
• Implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and lead time.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with multiple project sites for material requirements.
• Ensure smooth delivery and availability of materials at all locations.
• Resolve supply and logistics issues promptly.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and cost analysis.
• Track purchases, consumption, and vendor performance.
• Support management in budgeting and procurement planning.
